Carmen is a caring, compassionate and considerate woman, who understands her role as a mother ,friend, wife, and most importantly, as a woman of GOD. She is divorced, with two adult children; daughter, Denise, who lives in Las Vegas, NV. and son, Charmane, who lives in Columbia, MO. She is also grandmother to Daisha. She was born and raised in a rural community where opportunity was limited. However, she was always people oriented, so going places and meeting people is natural to her. Life did not prepare her for all the experiences she has had, yet she has learned the meaning of acceptance in both pain and success. One thing that she knows for sure is that pain is pain, and when someone is hurting, that GOD desires deliverance, healing, and restoration in all areas of life, and that she is willing to be a vessel to be used by God.

Carmen passion for God is the pulse of her being. She has always cared for others, often in spite of her own pain and need. Sharing with others and giving them a sense of God's grace is just what she does! Her kitchen has been named "Carmen's Kitchen", because women would gather around it to share their feelings, issues, and experiences. They always found a listening ear and a willingness to help them process what they were going through. Therefore, her kitchen was a gathering spot to fellowship, to grow in relationships, and to gain an understanding of how God works in our lives. Life coaching is a natural extension of "Carmen's Kitchen." Carmen experienced years in the wilderness, dry seasons, and hopelessness, until she learned the value of self-worth and that she is wonderfully and marvelously made in God's own image. She will reach out to women experiencing the same thing.

Carmen as been led to be more committed to ministry work in the last four years. However, she has always been involved in some kind of church work such as; mission auxiliary, the youth department, women's ministry, or prison outreach. Her love for God's people helps her find joy when working besides them. In accepting her calling to deeper ministry, she has developed and implemented an addictions/substance abuse ministry for the community and her church. This is a valuable service provided for those struggling with addictions.

Carmen is a Certified Criminal Justice Addictions professional, whose work for 25+ YRS has been in the treatment field with the offender population. She is a trained facilitator, teaching groups about self -esteem and restoring hope to those who have lost a belief and value system along the way. She understands that substance abuse work crosses into all areas of the person; physical, mental, emotional, financial, and spiritual. In fact, it literally depletes' one of hope, dignity and sense of purpose. She believes that God has gifted her to work in this area of hurting people, to help restore that lost hope.

Carmen is also the coordinator of Booneville's Community Youth project, S.T.O.M.P. (Starting Today On Making Progress) for youth ages 9-17, with an emphasis on Drug Awareness. She has coordinated many community events, which include a Life Purpose Coaching Conference and Life Purpose book parties.

Learning how to value her time and self care, trusting the voice of God and moving by faith in her walk, are the daily goals and aspirations of Carmen.
