A love for hiking, kayaking and designing/renovating, keep Garth in trouble when he is not caring for family, friends and clients. Add to that falling in love again and again for over 30 years (to the same person) and having 3 married children and you have the makings of a very interesting and fulfilling life.

God is up to something good in our lives. Really knowing Him and our own inner selves intimately, combined with walking out His unique purposes for us, is what real living is all about. Garth’s role is to assist men to become intentional and focused in their God-designed journey. This includes exploring the possibilities of finding the freedom and direction to become servant warriors within our personal contexts and Holy Spirit giftings!

Garth has had many different roles in ministry: elder, associate pastor, bible study/care group leader, young adult ministry, street ministry, bible camp ministry, Missions Team Leader and counsellor. He also spent four years assisting in the construction of a retreat center for Christian leaders. He is presently a church board member, facilitator for leadership development process and the secretary of the local Ministerial Leadership Team.

After graduating from Bible College in 1980, Garth was involved in carpentry, building supply store management, and then tool sales. During these years Garth was heavily involved in leadership and discipleship in his church. In 1992 he attened Briercrest Biblical Seminary and became a Registered Clinical Counsellor in 1994. He has also been a Life Purpose Facilitator since 2007.
