Karen is an energetic, caring, and active woman. She has been married to Mike for 31+ years and together they are learning to greatly appreciate these ‘rest of our lives’ years. They have one daughter, Meagan, who lives and works in St. Louis, MO. Karen and Mike live in her hometown of Columbia, MO and attend the church in which she was baptized, and married.

Karen’s passion for the Lord and her life experiences have given her a deep desire to walk along side other women as they seek the ‘abundant life’ found only in an intimate relationship with the Savior. She sees Coaching, Facilitating, and Speaking as the perfect tool for helping women discover their own worth in God’s Kingdom, uncovering their passions, and exploring their personal stories. “Even though I grew up in a Christian home, my story is full of years in the wilderness, just like many of you! Sharing the goodness of God and the miracles of love and healing He has brought about in my life is the greatest privilege I can imagine!” These wilderness years include such painful things as infertility, depression, low self-esteem, marriage struggles, and most recently, bankruptcy and losing their home. She also has a heart for church pastors and coaches them through the MO United Methodist Church Conference.

Karen has immersed herself in church ministry for the past 22 years. Her activities, past and present, include teaching children’s and adult Sunday School, Bible Study leader, Spiritual Gifts workshop leader, Small Group leader, ALPHA co-coordinator, devotional writer, Prayer ministry, Jail ministry, and Lay Leader in area of Mission and Outreach. She loves God’s church and His people, and finds joy in serving both! She absolutely loves leading Women’s retreats and speaking when ever asked! In the fall of 2008, she was hired by the Missouri Methodist Conference as a Coach for pastors. This is one of the most rewarding experiences of her life, thus far.

Prison Ministry is another area where she loves to bring to women her love of God and the joy of living a life in Christ.

Karen has her Bachelor degree in Special Education. She has been a Special Education, Reading, and Gifted teacher in the public schools for 20+ years. Her passion for sharing her faith has led her to a part time teaching position in a Christian school. She also turned her love for collectibles and antiques into a small business for a time. She is has in interest American Sign Language (ASL) with dreams to one day extend her ministry goals to reach the Deaf. The five levels of training she has received through Life Purpose Coaching Centers International with Katie Brazelton, have been invaluable and inspirational in providing the tools for such a rich life in ministry.
