Sherrill grew up in the suburbs of St. Louis, but spent 24 years of married life as a small town girl in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She is now residing in the college town of Columbia, Missouri where she and her husband are empty nesters except for two beloved doggies. They are extremely proud of their two grown children.

Being a full-time educator for 30 years as a kindergarten, then 3rd grade teacher, then reading consultant, Sherrill is the perfect example of waiting on her BIG purpose. Married to a middle school principal, education and raising a family were her purpose for many years. But all along, she always felt each step of the journey was orchestrated by God to ready her for becoming a Life Purpose Coach – even though she had no idea that was in her future. In-depth Bible study after her move, facing lonliness for the first time, brought her to a deeper level of faith and trust in her savior. Battling her own chronic health problems including fibromyalgia, she feels a deep passion for helping other women to learn to wait on God and recognize every tear and joy as part of His future plan for her. Women looking at a new season of life after a move, a diagnosis, a change in career, becoming an empty nester, or waiting for a new season are especially close to her heart.

Sherrill’s career as an educator was her field of ministry for years as she worked with children, parents and teachers to help nurture them to be the best they could be. Always active in her church also, she loved to praise God in the choir, taught high school Sunday School and gave the Moments with Our Children sermon that was televised in her small town for many years. She currently has a book being published of devotional poetry. Both she and her husband are very active in the non-denominational Walk to Emmaus retreat, serving on many teams as a speaker, prayer warrior, assistant and eventually a Lay Director.

After 18 years in the same elementary school, God began to put steps in her path to prepare her for her work as a Pathway to Purpose speaker, life plan facilitator, Instructor, and coach. She became a STARR teacher (Select Teachers as Regional Resources) teacher with a year’s sabbatical working out of the regional university which brought her speaking engagements and adjunct teaching at both the junior college and graduate level.
After moving to Columbia, Missouri in 2000 she worked for the State Department of Education as a reading consultant. In 2001 she went to work for the Missouri Reading Initiative as a Trainer of Teachers in the latest reading research, model teaching as well as giving workshops. After a career of working to serve children and teachers with state of the art curriculum, she feels she is prepared now through the Pathway to Purpose Ministry to now share the most important information of all - what she has learned along her journey of faith. She longs for other women to know and understand her life’s verse: All things work together for good to those who love the Lord. (Romans 8:28)
