- Surrender Exercise
Testimonials: How well did the Training prepare you for your first client? In general, without giving client specifics, how do you think it went?
It was quite an amazing experience. The client had contacted me. I think she found me on the ministry’s web site or through an email from you. I met with her a couple times before, and then we got this one scheduled. I had a great peace and confidence. Invited people to pray us through, and the entire facilitation was rich, deep, and powerful as well as transforming. Thanks be to God!
What did you enjoy most?
I enjoyed watching the honesty grow in my client. From superficial, what she might have wanted the answer to be…to the truth, and the power of connecting with what is true. Of course, I enjoyed watching the Holy Spirit take a willing and open woman and bring clarity, light, and truth into her life.
What surprised you?
How natural and good the process felt to me. There was no discomfort, fear, or anxiety. It was like I had done it all my life. We were in a cozy and quaint library of a B & B and it was a perfect setting.
What was clear to you, yet difficult for your client?
I knew my client wasn’t being honest at the beginning. She was answering her questions with the answers she wanted them to be…not what was true. It was difficult for me to just be patient, and I struggled to find the balance to push a bit and yet hang back and wait for her discovery. I asked her if we could take a break, and invited her to just spend some time alone?? minutes to write out some insights…and that worked. It gave me time to prayer and check my “impatience” and gave her some time that produced fruit!
Did you have enough time/energy for each module? Explain.
It was amazing…there were a couple of modules that took more time, we did have a working lunch, and that helped us “catch up”. But some modules went quickly and so the give and take worked out.
What will you personally do to improve your skill level for your next client?
I fasted and prayed the day before…I will definitely do that again. I’m not sure…it was such a positive experience. One thing, when I called the night before, My client was anxious, wondering what this was all about. I would check in a bit more to help relieve some of that anxiety. She said that after she talked to me, she was ok.
In general, without giving client specifics, how do you think it went?
Very well. My client is a Career Counselor by profession. She saw the value of each section and enjoyed the entire experience. (She especially enjoyed and needed a little pampering)
What did you enjoy most?
I loved seeing and sensing the Holy Spirit work in our bonding and connecting and in nudging me to ask questions and allow silence to bring information and answers to her mind. God was amazing!
What surprised you?
How easy it was and how smoothly it flowed and how God’s timing of each section was so perfect. (Especially her surrender time)
What will you personally do to improve your skill level for your next client?
I need to read over the Questions from the Level One Coaching sections and refresh my Bible memory cards. I will also continue to familiarize myself with ALL the information in Level Three. There is so much information - I want to be sure I did not miss something.
